Autumn

New beginnings

This week marks a new fresh start in many ways, so let’s reopen this old blog to celebrate!

Last week I submitted the final assignment for my graphic design course. The exam period was very stressful and it’s taken me a week to recover! But I’m so happy I decided to invest in that course. I’ve learned a lot and have gained a lot of confidence. And yes, I dare to say that even before knowing the exam results.

I’ve also finished another project I’ve been doing three times a year for quite a few years, and that took a lot of my time and energy. So this is truly a new beginning.

Some of you know me, some don’t. I’m Susanne, and I used to blog here about life in Ireland and about moving abroad, but I got lost with what I wanted to do with the blog, especially after the pandemic hit. This blog has had many different directions, and I eventually closed it.

From September this year I’ve only been running a photography blog of sorts, on another domain, which I’m very pleased with.

But during the autumn, after seeing the good results from the strength training routine I started in the late winter, fitness and training has become a much more important part of my life, and I started writing about it quite frequently on the blog. But it’s a photography blog, and I want it to remain a photography blog.

So lately I’ve been thinking that maybe I should reopen this website and use it to share my fitness journey, achievements, and strategies to reach goals – whether they’re in fitness, music, or other areas of life. Other topics will be covered too and I think you’ll like it.

Let’s get started!

So glad to see you back here, and looking forward to following along on your journey. Health, wellness, strength, and fitness are super-important to me and I’m so glad you’re able to prioritize your physical and mental health now. Unloading that project, and finishing your program (YAY YOU!) must feel wonderful. I hope as winter settles in – even your typical mild winter! – that you find more and more joy in a less-intense life. <3

Now finally I feel that life is good for real and that I’m living it on my own terms. About time!
