Do you have a particular favourite kind of light or weather condition for photography? Everyone else seems to swear by the golden hour, and I get that, but personally I’m not particularly interested in sunsets. Early morning light is fantastic (and I should try to get out more often in the early hours), but what really tickles my fancy is haze and fog, at whatever time of the day.
There’s something special about fog. It creates a particular kind of solitude and silence. It’s like sounds are muffled in the fog, and I’ve found it very soothing for the soul to walk in the fog.
I enjoyed a lovely walk in late March:

And again in late April. This day I was very lucky. The fog had lifted when I left home, but when I came closer to the sea I saw that the mist was still heavy over the bay, and when I came back home, the fog was back!

I actually slowed down to not be discovered by this lady. She is lovely, but I wanted to be alone and enjoy the stillness.
